EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
WHATS THE PACE LIKE?
The pace is meant to be VERY CHILL! If you want to smash, smash to the top of a climb, turnaround, and go to the back of the group and encourage the other riders. This is not a race, this is a vibe. CHILL!
KOM COMPETITION
We have THREE 15-20min segments at the very first climb of each day. Spicy bois... this is where you dump your ego. A small trophy will be awarded for the winner of each segment & and a larger trophy for the lowest time over all 3 segments.
REST STOP FOOD
Saturday & Sunday will have very well stoked aid stations with snacks, water, hydration mix, and 1 full lunch stop with special meal Tyler & Kristin cooked themselves. There is no meat or dairy provided, if you need to eat animals, bring that with you. A light breakfast will be available but no dinner is offered.
HOW HARD ARE THE ROUTES?
VERY. All 3 days are VERY challenging. There is ZERO flat riding out here, and even though the pace will not be too difficult, the elevation and heat will be. You should have good climbing gears and the physical ability to climb WITHOUT stopping for an hour straight.
MANDATORY RE-GROUPs
We have to support ALL the riders, each rest stop will remain up until the last rider comes through. We HIGHLY encourage everyone fully regroup at each aid station, if you want to ride more and not stop... do the climb again.
If you go head and be a breakaway hero, you will be UNSUPPORTED. There will not be another rest stop waiting for you.
MECHANICAL SUPPORT
We have a bike shop that will be following the group that can help with MINOR issues. If you bring a busted bike that the crank falls off, sorry, thats on you. If you need replacement equipment the shop may charge you for the parts you need. Be big boy or girl and bring a working bike with repair equipment.
WHY/HOW IS THIS FREE?
Cause its dope! This is what I would want to have in the community so I'll just do it! We have a hand full of sponsors but 90% of costs are being covered by me personally (Tyler Pearce - MEET ME HERE )
If you want to see change, be the change. There's no hidden "gotchas" or "but first..." type things here. I love my home town, I want to share that with you, thats it.
